Thomson Safaris Review: I went in with high expectations, and they were exceeded!

Thomson Safaris Cecilia T Thomson Safaris Review: I went in with high expectations, and they were exceeded!

I had an absolutely incredible time!  After doing my research and reading all the reviews for Thomson Safaris, I went in with high expectations, and they were exceeded!

The guides and crew provided tremendous service and relentless attention to detail. Everyone from the head guide to the porters made it their business to pay attention to the small things which not only makes for a good trip, but can make a difference between success and failure. The gear, medical equipment and logistics in getting us to the summit safely was a first class operation. Also, as a solo traveler, safety was my top priority. I was well cared for and I felt very comfortable and safe throughout my entire trip.

It was very helpful reading the testimonials of your clients when I was doing my research before the trip. Thank you so much for providing  such an outstanding service from start to finish!

Thomson Safaris Review: Our guides were fantastic

DSC00808 Thomson Safaris Review: Our guides were fantastic

We had a fantastic – awesome safari! All three of our guides were fantastic, especially Leonard. While we were visiting a local school, Leonard gave a talk to the 7th grade class. I believe the subject was “confidence”. He also gave us several lectures on our safari.

It is apparent that he loves, and is proud of, his country, the people, the animals, and the kids. I think he is also proud of Thomson Safaris for the work they do in the community.  We still talk about and show photos to our friends about the trip and sing the praises of Thomson Safaris.

A very special highlight was watching a Cheetah Mom train her four cubs to hunt and kill. We saw two kills, which we are told is very rare.

Thomson Safaris Review: The Kilimanjaro trek was amazing and very rewarding!

Thomson Safaris Adam and Thomson Safaris Review: The Kilimanjaro trek was amazing and very rewarding!

The trip was amazing and very rewarding! I really enjoyed the experience, and I would absolutely recommend Thomson Safaris to my friends in the future. You guys did a perfect job and I have no complaints.

In particular, I wanted to recognize one of our assistant guides James, who I felt did a particularly superb job.  I thought he was extremely helpful on the climb, knowledgeable about the mountain and its wildlife, and he just had a great attitude. That being said, the other guides (Honesto and Renatus) were very good too.

Thomson Safaris Review: We’ve traveled to a lot of places, but Tanzania was the best!

Thomson Safaris Katherines Thomson Safaris Review: Weve traveled to a lot of places, but Tanzania was the best!

We were very excited to book our safari with Thomson Safaris to Tanzania. This was our first trip to Africa and our first safari.  However, my wife and I have a lot of experience camping, hiking, wildlife viewing, and fly-fishing. My wife is also a serious photographer, while I am a lifelong hunter, fisherman, and outdoor enthusiast.

This was the best vacation ever!! Thank you!  We’ve traveled to a lot of places, but have never experienced the level of warmth and friendliness, the level of organization and luxury in a “camping” environment, and the level of professionalism from our guide that we experienced and enjoyed on this safari with Thomson. We feel that the whole team worked together to give us the most pleasurable experience and to maximize our game viewing opportunities.

We were lucky to see so much wildlife, and would still have been just about as happy if we saw less. That’s how good the guides and the camp staff are. We hope to return for another safari one day, and it will be with Thomson. We will confidently recommend Thomson Safaris to our friends.

Thomson Safaris Review: My 6th safari was the best one yet!

Thomson Safaris repeat trav Thomson Safaris Review: My 6th safari was the best one yet!

We have traveled with Thomson Safaris for five extraordinary safaris, including the extension to the Mahale Mountains, and I believe our 2013  trip  was one of the best safaris yet!

The Thomson tented camps (especially in the East Serengeti) and Gibbs Farm are our very favorite places to stay. Freddy was a fabulous guide, again, and we had an amazing extension on the gorilla trek in Rwanda.

That was an experience of a lifetime.

What a team. Consummate professionals. I did extensive research and I was not let down. I liked the 9-day option and the day light summit attempt.

Thomson has excellent credibility and reputation among the industry. I came across some other outfits on the mountain that I thanked the Lord I was not climbing with.  No question I would tell anyone looking for the right trekking company, you are the only way to go.

If you want to climb Kilimanjaro and  enjoy doing it, call Thomson. I booked the trip after extensive internet research and went through your website. Why anyone would book the trek based on a cheaper price astounds me.
