Challenged Athletes Climb Kili
Our Kilimanjaro operations have been busy these past few months! Our latest endeavor involves a partnership with the C.H.E.K Institute to lead two challenged athletes, Erica Davis and Tara Butcher, to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. If Erica makes it, she will be the first female paraplegic to reach the summit. Both of the girls’ stories are inspiring (see the video below); their efforts and proceeds will benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation. We’ll keep you updated on their climb, which begins next week.

Where can I purchase a copy of this DVD in Canada? I have a young friend (recently a paraplegic) and this movie would be a great encouragement to him.

Which route did Tara, Erica, and company take? Did they actually summit Uruhu Peak? I’m writing an article and would like to include this.

Hello Laura,
Yes! Erica, Tara and their entire team made it to the summit! Erica has gone down in the history books as the first female paraplegic to summit Mount Kilimanjaro. She and Tara such hard workers and quite the inspiration! They ascended a modified Marangu Route with us.
