Thank you for a great Kilimanjaro Trek and Safari! Our group of 5 made it to the summit and had a fantastic time along the way. I had a great experience and highly recommend the Western Approach Route. Thank you for working with us to plan the trip so well. We were thrilled with the experience and really appreciate all that you did to make it such a memorable trip. It went well above our expectations.
In addition to Thomson Safaris’ reputation and treatment of their employees, their support of the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project was an important part of my decision making. I mailed a contribution to this project immediately when I returned home. I appreciate Thomson’s leadership with this effort and have a better idea of the importance of the work. It was striking how different the Thomson staff was from many others on the mountain. You care for your team and it was evident in so many ways.
You have fantastic associates in Tanzania, top-notch and very knowledgeable. I can’t express the gratitude and respect we have for the guides and staff. They were knowledgeable, professional, and committed to seeing our group succeed. Edward, Godlisten, James, and Godluck are the best on the mountain. They are exceptional people who represent Thomson very well. Edward is a remarkable leader! We count them as friends and look forward to returning to Tanzania.
I will choose Thomson Safaris again, but it will be because of the people you employ.

“This trip was the best money I have ever spent!! I can’t say enough about the excellent guides and porters that worked with us on our trip. Andrew, Francis, Simon, Glory and Dixon deserve special mention for their hard work and excellence in everything they did.” - Colleen Flatten
“Thanks so much!! We had a grand adventure and really appreciated how wonderfully Thomson took care of us. Our head guide Andrew was truly outstanding and his expert judgement and critical thinking made us all feel safe. I have worked in health care for over 30 years and the challenges of the mountain really do require experts like Andrew, Simon, Frances and Glory to make it a safe trip. The challenges of the group with all that impacts the function of the body made it fascinating–but made us really respect the expert opinions of your well trained staff. Thanks!!” - Mary Dudley
” I can not tell you how much I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the Kilimanjaro adventure!!!! Thomson and staff are the BEST!! Our guides were over the edge superb!!!!!” - Annie Beinborn
Thomson Safaris was absolutely wonderful. It’s a known fact that I would not have made it without Simon! He was the sweetest and most helpful person and stayed with me every step until I made it up all 19,341 feet!
I did a Ngorongoro Crater safari extension, which was absolutely amazing! I would like to go back at some point and do a much longer safari and make it to the Serengeti.
The whole trip was incredible and I don’t think it would have been as amazing with just any company. You guys were great to deal with and so helpful. Now I just need someone to bankroll my lifestyle so I can do more traveling… worth every penny!

My father and I had an absolutely INCREDIBLE time. I am so happy and grateful to the Thomson Safaris guides, porters and kitchen staff for making my summit possible. I could not have reached Uhuru Peak or survived 9 days in the wilderness without them!
The overall support and positive guides cannot be matched! Thomson is THE best! I was overwhelmed by how much delicious food we were served at EVERY meal. The food and service staff were especially impressive.

When we started planning our safari, I googled “Top Safari Companies.” I contacted Thomson Safaris, who responded quickly. Your materials were great and we booked!
John, Leonard and Arthur were outstanding guides and fabulous drivers . We enjoyed riding with each of them and learned so much. The fact that they are still so deeply engaged with all the animals, birds, and flora after their many, many years of guiding enriched our safari immensely. Fascinating to see how your Nyumbas are designed. The sink area glassware is beautiful and I loved the colors, especially in the Eastern Serengeti.
Looking out over the view of the Eastern Serengeti, and hiking on the plains was wonderful.

Signature Thomson Safari, February 2013
Our trip was awesome! Our main guide, Godlove was great. He was a great leader and even better, got us to summit. The food, tents and other equipment were great.
The porters and other staff were friendly and eager to help. The final hotel stay before flying home was MUCH needed. A room to relax, shower, and pack was priceless. Thomson Safaris is a well organized company. Everything from air, hotel, and camping was excellent.
Everyone in the group made it to the summit of Kilimanjaro!
