My Thomson Safaris Hat is a Good Luck Charm!

I went on safari with Thomson in 2002.
Since then, a Thomson Safaris hat has been on my head on treks around the world.

In 2001, I turned 50. It had always been a lifelong dream to visit Africa, specifically to camp in the Serengeti. Sharing this dream with a friend, she asked “What are you waiting for?” She was right. So, within one week I researched and booked a safari with Thomson. It was a terrific decision.

The safari started December 24, 2001, and like they say, “It was a trip of a lifetime.” The staff was remarkable, especially Gebra, our lead guide. Logistics were perfect. Thomson Safari was the ideal choice.

Upon returning home, a friend asked about my next adventure. Frankly, I had never considered any others. However, because of the great experience in Tanzania, the list started. Since then, I have been blessed to take an international adventure trip every 3 years.

Since the safari was first, I have proudly worn the Thomson Safari hat on every trek – it is now a good luck charm. Thanks to Thomson for such a memorable adventure and providing the foundation. Looking forward to eventually return to Tanzania to hike Kilimanjaro – only have 2 other continents to visit first!
